Most Memorable Experiences
Conned by searchlights over Essen. Went into a steep dive, lost one motor by flak
Over Hanover (Sept. 27/43) had an incendiary through port wing, lost feul, however had enough to reach base.
The bomb aimer wore sloppy boots. We came up to the target and the pilot had to have a nervous pee. Bomb Aimer got tube caught in his flying boot and yelled out “ Someone is pissing in my boot” Great applause.
